Most upper extremity injuries are clumped into a few diagnoses: rotator cuff, tennis elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome. In fact, the upper extremity is not so simplistic, and consists of 86 joints and 54 muscles, and a multitude of nerves, blood and lymph vessels and ligaments. When one area is injured, it is nearly impossible for other areas to remain unaffected. Addressing the subtle injuries rather than training to overpower them, will provide strength, grace and control of movement.
